The Accountability of Protesting

You have to continually love Nancy Pelosi  who works tirelessly for  good changes that can help Americans while Trump only wants to be at war with the very folks he has sworn to protect and serve. The House of Representatives led by Nancy has organized a Legislative Strategy  of Justice for Black Americans. A Bill will be introduced to the House and Senate at the same time that will address the problem of seeing police officers on video comitting crimes. Our laws currently do not prosecute adequately bad cops. There are complaints of excessive force even resulting in death of folks not given a death penalty yet for some crime. It is currently difficult to charge a bad cop with excessive force and numerous complaints. Difficult to fire the bad cop, prosecute the bad cop and sue the bad cop. Laws need to be changed to hold bad cops accountable for their crimes.
The famous Frank Serpico who unveiled corruption in his police force faced severe opposition for just doing the right thing of exposing the crimes. Nancy is at least introducing real changes in the laws to protect folks from bad cops. The bad cop who killed George Floyd, if he had not been immediately arrested, he could haver easily moved to another town and be hired as a police officer there continuing his cycle of complaints and possible more murders on citizens.
None of us who work in any profession wants bad apples in the group that will soil the reputation of our professions. Trump should be thanking the protestors instead of persecuting protestors demanding real reform to actually make America great again but he himself is a big bad apple that needs to be removed too. This law will demand a national data base that will document bad officers who are problematic. It will allow police departments to fire a problematic officers.
This is not a new idea but police officers are often shielded from accountability. Let's see if Police Unions will support the Bill. There is hope since with all this protesting going on we have seen Police Chiefs kneeling and showing real sympathy with the protestors not liking their good profession to protect and serve citizens being tainted over and over again by bad cops who even after lengthy
court cases don't get prosecuted much.
Legislatively choke holds can be banned and no warrant invasions can be banned too. There is Senate support for this legislation. Lives can be saved. Bad cops can be forced to never be a cop again and perhaps we can all someday soon feel safe next to a cop again. Hope for all our futures .
