Why does Facebook allow Trump's excessive lies to continue to post on their site? Twitter, You Tube and Snapchat have all at least fact checked his statements or entirely shut his media presence down so far. Facebook has been allowing posts by Trump to be posted that are false. Facebook employees are quitting and speaking out over this issue as the world is disgusted with mostly everything Trump says or does anyway. Mark, the CEO always said that calls for violence would NOT be tolerated on the platform, yet he allows Trump's calls of violence towards citizens to take place.
We all care about free expression and our right to freedom of speech under the Constitution but even that 1st Amendment does NOT have unlimited protection for free expression. You can't just shout fire in a movie theater inciting rioting especially if there isn't any fire. Right NOW it is important that we take a stand for what is harming the world. Dictatorship China has just taken a strong hold stopping and persecuting all protesting in Democratic Hong Kong. Trump admires and aligns himself with all the evil Dictators of the world who have stronghandedly given themselves unlimited powers. He loves Putin, Kim Young Fuck Up, the Dictator in Brazil over any Democratically run country in the world.
America is in danger because he loves to divide and conqueror. He wants a divided America at war with each other even over a stupid mask. Social media can be dangerous as well as a source for good in the world but there must be some degree of fact checking that we saw did not happen in the last election with all the slanderous lies posted about Hillary.
Facebook needs to follow their own principles especially when it comes to unhinged, outspoken Trump. Mark Zuckerberg has been having private meeting's with Trump and now defends his decision not to fact check or even decline to post Trump's blatant lies. SAD
