Trump's Parade

Now Trump wants a military parade. Could he be jealous of all the military parades North Korea has and even the parade on Bastille Day in France? Somebody needs to tell him that America doesn’t do military parades. Trump wants his parade in November and has already told the Pentagon to plan the parade. He wants nuclear weapons dragged down the streets of America. Normally if you see military vehicles rolling down a street you don’t bring the children in harm’s way. Should we let Trump’s sons loose and bring the kids to the zoo to watch them kill the majestic animals there too with some high powered weapons? Let’s all enjoy a killing festival! NOT!!!

When you are the most military powerful place in the world we know it and don’t feel a need to show it all off. Our founding fathers didn’t want a standing Army at all. Parades were a thing of the Europeans, the British and the French that we fought to get away from those displays of military might. Trump got this idea when he attended last year’s Bastille Day celebration in Paris, France. Does he even know that Bastille Day is a celebration of when the poor French people fought the British to stop the excessiveness of their military might?

Instead of discussing foreign policy with America’s top Generals in the Pentagon tank that is a room reserved for top-secret discussions he said, “I want a parade like the one in France.” Trump wanted this kind of display before. He requested from the military that they turned down for tanks and missile launchers at the Inaugural parade. The first President who asked for a military parade was Andrew Johnson who was also the first President to be impeached.

This Trump parade could run into the millions of dollars in costs and it is unclear how we would pay for it. Can’t Macy’s just have a Trump balloon at the Thanksgiving Parade? The plans want Trump to, ”observe the spectacle from a reviewing stand or he could serve as a grand marshal.” I think we should just launch Trump out of a cannon like at the circus or better yet have Elon Musk strap him to a rocket and shoot him into outer space in a Tesla car.

Does he know that being a Grand Marshal is a step down from being President of the United States? We had Generals in the Military who were Presidents who never requested a military Parade. They were Washington, Jackson, Harrison, Taylor, Pierce, Grant, Hayes, Garfield, Arthur, Harrison and Eisenhower. It is amazing that our professional military men former Presidents never found the need for a costly silly Parade. They were not ego maniac’s.  Trump needs to fill some kind of void in his life and having some sort of self- promoting parade still won’t help him with his mental issues.   Trump is all about phallic missiles and wants American’s dick shaped weapons on display for all to see.  Too bad he doesn’t want to get our homeless Veterans off the streets. Trump supporters, he IS your President.
