The World Has Been Fooled Today

Trump speaks about coronavirus amid outbreak: cartoons
It is April Fool’s Day. The traditional day for prankers to go wild with silly jokes and trickery. The world was fooled to believe that you can’t die from breathing, hugging and speaking close to each other. The very thought of that ridiculous assumption was and is a crazy trick. Except it is not a trick. We are fools not to believe it and now 500 Americans die daily from doing just that and today we have 4,000 deaths from doing just that, surpassing China where the sick joke began back in November.
Americans were fooled by Trump’s trickery more than 3 years ago tricking us all to believe that he was a fresh new face in govt. and that would be a good thing. We were fooled by him, the bad jokester insult comic self-promoter no matter what. Then we all realized that it is not funny anymore. America elected this guy to the most powerful job in this country to rule the most powerful country in the world with no governing in his job profile and no experience in governing. In fact he has a history of failed businesses and corruption. Our April Fool is a more than 3 year deadly trick where our wealth and health is now gone.
With thousands of humans now dying at an alarming rate worldwide from this deadly airborne virus, is it a foolish way to remind us all that this could remotely possibly be a good thing in some respect? With folks worldwide hiding in their homes not getting near each other it is a new kind of prank on humanity. Our streets are empty but clean. Our schools, malls and public gatherings of concerts and events are gone but so is the mass shootings, school shooting, concert shootings gone too. Crime is down in our neighborhoods. Murders, rapes and robberies are down due to the lack of stores being open and lack of folks to injure available. Bullying is even down since all of our studies and work is being done on the internet. Child behavior is better since they are monitored by their parents all the time so no time is spent being mean to other classmates. There aren’t any. Pollution is down since there are less cars on the streets. Our water is cleaner since the factories are closed not spewing toxic chemicals in our water supply. We are forced to be with the folks we said we loved now all the time. We have time to love and care for each other again.
Of course human deaths at this rate is a terrible Foolish trick. It is not fun or funny. No one should die from touching or breathing. It is what we do as humans. But maybe when the dust settles of our deadly ashes this social distancing can continue and never end to some extent. We all are working hard to adjust, cope and thrive under these conditions. Our children are continuing to be educated not in person but on video. Our jobs are continuing not by us but by helpful robotics and even self -driving trucks. When humans go back to misbehaving with shootings, assaults, rapes and bullying, maybe we could close things once again with social distancing so ethics, morals and integrity that are only human traits can thrive.
