Where is the help?

Where is our military???Puerto Rico is part of America and Trump is doing nothing to employ our services. People are waiting in long lines to just get four   16oz. bottles of water and some snacks to feed their families that is supposed to last 2 days.  The place is surrounded by water. Where are the water purifying machines that we have? People are showing up with old bleach gallons to get water at a few water trucks. Where are the organizers who know how to deal with disasters to delegate jobs instead of just long lines to get practically nothing?
The Mayor Carlos Mendez is begging for assistance. Most of the roads are still impassable filled with debris and trees. Aguadia is a town that hasn’t reached any assistance so far. Some places are getting limited helicopter drops of only water bottles. Most homes have had their roofs blown off and it is raining again. The people are crying out loud not for money but for help. Where are the tent cities for Americans? The acting director for Homeland Security in Washington says they are doing a good job.
The head of the Katrina effort says the military is not regarding this as a rescue effort. They need to delegate jobs for the locals.  They need to bring in full trucks by military planes and deploy soldiers to clear the roads. The hospitals need generators. They need to put down their guns and use all   temporary housing and purifying equipment we have at our disposal. The military even has freeze dried foods that can sustain people for a while. What does it take to finally take care of our own?
Retired Lt. General Russel who was in charge of the Katrina disaster has no good words for Trump in how he is handling the crisis. We all knew that this was going to be a huge hurricane pointing straight for Puerto Rico. Trump should have ordered the deployment of emergency workers and military   to the island in advance of the coming disaster of Hurricane Maria   to organize relief emergency efforts. He did nothing.
The island has 3.5 million people there surrounded by water with no place to escape.  Where are the cruise ships to offer people to leave since the airports are still not operating acceptably? Military planes could airlift thousands of troops quickly. Where are they?
Virtually all of the island is still with shortages of drinking water, fuel and water. In the northern coastal town of Bayamon they said they have not seen any military helping survival efforts. The Department of Defense should have been given greater authority over the disaster relief.   Only the military know how to move supplies quickly to the island since most of the ports are still closed. Just 11 of 69 hospitals have electricity or fuel. If Trump deployed the military instead of just the National Guard, supplies and services would be already there.
We have Army units that do port openings and they weren’t called. Why?
We have Special Forces that could have been in every town. Not called. Why?
Trumps response was small and slow. He did not understand the scope and scale of the problem. Locals should have been immediately hired to clear the roads. 80 men with tools could clear 5 miles of road per day. All you got there is everyone scratching their head and waiting in line for nothing. This General said, ”I’m going to see Senator McCain and Senator Graham and we’re going to write some shit in the Defense Authorization Bill, that every hurricane come, we will have a task force to follow it in.”

The suffering and lack of organization in Puerto Rico is an embarrassment to the world that we can’t even take care of our own people yet we have one of the largest military rescue operations in the world. Trump just didn’t call them up to active duty in the region.
