1. If Kavanaugh were a decent and honorable man today, two weeks ago he would have publicly said ‘I drank and partied too much, including illegal underage drinking, when young and my friends and I often acted like jerks. I don’t recall the specific incident(s) but they could have occurred. I am deeply sorry for pain I caused, for it was wrong.'

2. If Kavanaugh were a decent and honorable man today, he would insist that his entire career of documents was released, including those from his time in the Bush White House, so that there would be no suspicious gaps.

3. If Kavanaugh were a decent and honorable man today, he would publicly castigate right-wing media for abuse and threats toward his childhood friend and insist that women familiar with the complex nature of sexual abuse participate in the hearing.

4. If Kavanaugh were a decent and honorable man today, he would insist that there be ample time for an investigation to avoid all appearance of wrongdoing.

5. If Kavanaugh were a decent and honorable man today, he would have answered all questions at his hearing with honesty and maturity, and without evasion, wisely serious regarding his grave responsibility toward the citizenry of the United States.

Using basic legal logic and available evidence, I can only conclude that Kavanaugh is not a decent and honorable man today."
