Trump's Failure Killed 3,000 Americans in Puerto Rico

Donald Trump after you put your orange face makeup on and twirl your hair around your head, look in the mirror, you are not looking at a hero! And STOP Tweeting and distorting reality. Saying that 3,000 people did not die in the hurricanes in Puerto Rico is a lie since studies have proven that the large amount of people did die. Within minutes at 5:30 in the morning yesterday you added to the lie that “Democrats “ did this  in order to make me look bad”. Again, look in the mirror. You look bad, Bad Grand-pa.! The Democrats have NOTHING to do with you dropping the ball on this one. It must be clear that you ignored Americans in Puerto Rico and in the devastated Virgin Islands because they can’t vote. Your  re-election campaigns three times a week shows how all you care about is the votes.

A true leader would, sigh again, at least offer their thoughts and prayers to the people of the islands and vow to never allow something like that to happen again. Why is he making a national disaster political? Trump criticizes Puerto Rico for their financial problems but it is the Jones Act that makes Puerto Rico a poor island. He has the power to reverse the Jones Act that was written almost 100 years ago. The Island loses 500 million dollars every year because according to the Jones Act, cargo can only go in or out from the Island from American ships. The cost to not directly do business with foreign ships is an extra and unnecessary expense that the Island has to pay.

FEMA has been a failure in Puerto Rico under Trump’s watch. Going 11 months without power and no water is due to mismanagement and Trump offering repair contracts to his voting buddies with inadequate resources to do such a big job is why it took so long causing many deaths. Let’s compare Trump to Obama when the earthquake destroyed Haiti. The very next day Obama was offering resources to Haitians and Haiti is not even a part of the United States.  Obama sent Army planes, within 2 days Obama had 8,000 American troops, within 2 weeks 33 United States military ships and more than 300 military helicopters brought injured people to hospitals and delivered millions of pounds of food and water. That was a true representation of America.

Trump is no different than any dictator who turns his back on his own citizens. Yesterday there was also a photo of miles of pallets with water found stockpiled on Federal Land that was never distributed to the people of Puerto Rico. Is he trying to blame the lack  of organization in Trump’s America on that shameful act? The officials of Puerto Rico didn’t even know that those resources existed until this past April. WHY???? Trump admitted in his crude Tweet that he was ONLY there 18 days after the horrific event for just a few hours. It is TRUMP’S fault that his Federal FEMA did NOT coordinate at all with the island’s local FEMA to even let them know that the water was there! No one from Trump’s camp is even saying when it was delivered to the island!

FEMA is responsible for disaster relief and they didn’t give anyone much relief and now we know people died for no good damn reason. Trump’s version of America stinks!!
