What positivity has the
Republican Party given to the American people lately? There have been 59
Republicans who have left their jobs in our government in the past year
including the Speaker of the House, third in line to the Presidency, Paul Ryan.
Will we miss any of these people or is it a good thing that they are gone? There
have been three Speakers of the House selected in the past few years who have
left a job that most have kept for many years after they nabbed such a good job
in government. You remember John Boehner, the guy who cried a lot even as he
banged the gavel down at speeches. He was against pot in America and now he
owns a pot producing factory. Paul Ryan was supposed to trim the budget and
bring the deficit down and he failed miserably that now we are expect to add
another 10 trillion dollars to the budget within the next few years going the
way we are going with Trump never ending security for golf trips and an
increased budget for the military and immigration enforcement.
House Speaker Paul Ryan plans to
retire at the end of his current term in January and doesn’t plan to run for
re-election. The Republican Party has dominated the House of Representatives
since 2011. In 2010 the Tea Party was the rage and it created the largest
partisan swings in American History. The Republicans picked up 63 seats in the
first midterm after President Obama was elected. Obama had a lot of opposition
to anything he wanted to do because when there is such a majority against your
beliefs that majority gets young Paul Ryan who nabbed the best committee
position of all the Budget head. He was in charge of giving the American people
the “great” alternative to President Obama’s proposals.
Paul was just 40 years old at the
time, a new younger face in government. He promised to get American debt under
control. Bill Clinton was the last President to have a balanced Budget. Bush
ruined that with all his 911 war spending that has now escalated into a 20 year
war costing us more and more money every day. In 2011 Paul had glossy
advertisements criticizing the budget pointing out that our public debt was 70%
of our economy and would escalate to 90% by 2022 and to 344% by the year 2050
without his amazing savings plan. Well he failed, now he is gone and our budget
isn’t any better.
Paul promised that he would cut government
spending by $6 trillion dollars. Reduce the Federal Deficit by $4.4.Trillion
dollars. None of that has happened. If anything Trump has increased spending on
many causes he believes in and his Cabinet
of rich guys are spending tax payers money on free perks for themselves daily. Paul
Ryan had more power over our budget than any other person in Congress. He
reminds me of the ordinary guy in the movie called Dave where he trimmed
costs line by line. The guy in the movie was successful. Ryan has failed.
In 2012 Paul Ryan ran for the
Presidency with Mitt Romney as vice-President and failed. He was billed as the
Champion of Conservative Spending. He failed. But as always the Republicans
have their Hero’s of the Stupid and elected Paul to be Speaker of the House in
2015. He did spend 20 years in Congress so he will have a good pension of about
$85,000 per year with virtually no expenses that he can start collecting in one
year at age 50. He currently earns about $225,000 per year. America has been
very very good to him!
