Be Prepared

Why are the most dangerous Americans young men? Some of the most violent crimes and home grown terrorism is committed by teens with mental illnesses and gang violence. We have a cultural influence on our kids that centers around violent video games Like Call too Duty, violent destructive popular movies like The Fast and Furious series of films, destructive drug and drinking popular movies like the classic Animal House. Then adults wonder why young men shoot up movie theaters, schools, malls and spend their money on highly addictive drugs and alcohol.

The shape of families are different. Marriage is now a serious commitment in relationships and not the normal. Most people go in and out of relationships frequently, many men spread their sperm without the commitment to be a father when a child is conceived, our courts train men to give child support checks but do not require a man to be active or present as a role model to young boys. The wealthy sports figures more often than not are not good role models for young men. They spend their wealth on fast cars, big homes, strip clubs, prostitution and drugs. Our young boys see all of this and learn from them. Our President is an offensive bully with multiple wives, paid off mistresses. Many men in the media like Bill O’Reiley, and from actors like Kevin Spacey to journalists like Matt Lauwer  to powerful men like Harvey Weinstein to senators like Al Frankin are all very poor role models as successful men. Our young boys see all this bad carma.

Trump’s solution to the problem of young violent men is to still align with the NRA, keep guns readily available to all and mandate that teachers have guns in classrooms. This is just further proof that Trump is also insane. Teachers are there to improve children not to take the chance that they could possibly kill a child in a confrontation. There is a solution that Trump, the NRA and all Americans should explore and promote. Our homeless Veterans would love to guide and mentor young boys into good activities and teach them the way to properly use guns. Our kids are currently walking out of classes to protest because they don’t want to die anymore. Important companies are pulling out of endorsed discounts offered by the NRA. Have the NRA sponsor the dwindling Boy Scouts of America. Our billionaire President Trump only donated $7 of his own money to the organization and at the Jamboree last year he took the time for self -promotion instead of encouraging boys to be good role models in their future.

“Be Prepared” is the Boy Scout model. It doesn’t mean to be prepared to kill but to be prepared to help others. Membership is so low for boys that they began accepting girls into the Boy Scouts. Why? There is no shortage of boys in America. Since the early 1970’s the Boy Scouts have lost 2/3rds of their membership. If a father is still present in a child’s life chances are that they are too busy working or spending their money on high priced night sports games for themselves or even making it rain in a strip club somewhere. Moms are out working too. So who is there to volunteer at the Boy Scouts? No one. Let the NRA and our taxes sponsor qualified counselors or Veterans teach our young boys some good in their lives. All boys could learn from  survival skills, volunteer work and the proper use of a gun for target practice and not shooting up your classmates.
