If Trump cares at all for this country he needs to throw out
big corporate pharmaceutical companies and their bad practices like he enjoys
throwing out immigrants. Millions of Americans die daily in our country on our
shores from opioid addictions and the pills are available easily even now. When
will he step up to the plate and hit the rich corporations in their pockets and
close them down? Are these rich companies too big to prosecute? Our Department
of Justice has appointed leaders like Jeff Sessions that don’t seem to remember
anything when asked questions from Congress on issues. Are they inept too?
The McKesson Company is America’s
largest drug distributer and is also America’s most corrupt company. Where is
the Frank Serpico to expose the corruption? Our judicial system has tried in
the past to prove that the company is corrupt but where has all that
investigating gone? Where is the closure we need to shut the doors on the
place? I wonder if all the Russian investigations into influencing our
elections will just go away with no real solution too. How do we stop the rich
and powerful when they are clearly wrong? I guess morality and ethics are worth
nothing these days. Dictators, greed and power rules.
Investigators already built a
powerful case against this company for its role in the Opioid crisis. Investigators
hit a brick wall when they tried to get Washington to hold this powerful
company accountable. Since when lawmakers and prosecutors are the nation’s
enemy? Trump treats the Mueller Investigation like they are the enemy? Country
over person used to matter but that was when great men led the country. Not
now.
We are at the height of an
epidemic that is killing Americans on our soil, with all the proof found to
catch this company for poisoning our people and yet nothing is being done by
Trump to close them down. McKesson needs to be held accountable. Trump needs to
be held accountable for allowing this epidemic to continue in our country. McKesson
is the fifth largest corporation in America. Based in San Francisco, the
company has 76,000 employees and earns almost $200 billion dollars a year in
revenues. Since the 1990’s McKesson has made billions of dollars from the
distribution of addictive opioids. Investigations has poved that McKesson has
been providing addictive drugs to countless pharmacies and doctors without
maintaining any real records of how much of the deadly pills were flooding the
market. That is extremely irresponsible for a drug company to do.
It is happening in every state
and no one is dealing with the problem. The company simply says that with the
nation’s prescription drug problem that there is plenty of blame to go around. Yet
in 2008 McKesson agreed to settle the United States claims against the company
by paying $13.3 million dollars to settle the government claims over the
company’s distribution of two often abused prescription drugs. So does paying a
fine settle the problem? NO
Hydrocodone alone is still being
over used today. Internet pharmacies are doing a very lucrative business now. Investigators
have again enough evidence to prove that McKesson has been supplying dangers
drugs to doctors and pharmacies that are criminal fronts for criminal drug
rings with pills ending up on the black market. It is all for financial gain by
everyone. If McKesson would only stay in compliance and hold their buyers to a
standard of practice, there would NOT be an Opioid crisis in America. We all
know that to get rid of a dangerous bee hive you need to find the queen bee and
it would all dissipate. GET RID OF THIS MCKESSON QUEEN.
McKesson delivers more than one
third of all drugs in the United States owning 30 warehouses around the
country. America has laws requiring companies like this one to identify, stop
and report unusual larges orders to the DEA our tax paying agency of the
government called the Drug Enforcement Agency. Does Trump even know this agency
exists? He is too busy insulting people in his Tweets. McKesson had hundreds of
thousands of suspicious orders they should have reported and didn’t until they knew
they were being investigated by the DEA. THEY DIDN’T REPORT ANY SUSPICIOUS
ORDERS. We can go to jail if we don’t report income on our taxes, why does this
corporate giant skate by?
If you know someone or are
concerned about this Opioid crisis that killed your relatives and friends, get
your protest shoes on and go to 14500 East 39th Avenue in Aurora
Colorado, 80011 or write them nasty letters because in Colorado alone in small
towns there the company supplied pharmacies with enough Opioids to give each
and every man, woman and child a month’s supply of the drugs on a regular basis
for no damn reason other than profits. Hydrocodone and Oxycodone in particular
in limitless amounts.
The DEA provided a report to
Washington in 2014 that said McKesson was placing, “dramatic increases in thresholds
without justification and supplied controlled substances in support of criminal
activities.” We need the giant weapons companies to keep tract of the bullets
they sell too. When you get together with your friends and relatives this
holiday season I bet it will be hard to not know someone near you that hasn’t
suffered from drug addiction.
We need a Serpico in Washington
to have the balls to follow up with the President’s declaration that it is a
public health emergency by actually DO SOMETHING about the problem.
FINE MCKESSON MORE THAN A BILLION
DOLLARS
REVOKE THE REGISTRATION TO
DISTRIBUTE CONTROLLED SUBSTANCES
PUT A MCKESSON EXECUTIVE IN JAIL
When we all lost our homes to the
foreclosure problem, no bank executives went to jail for having good Americans
lose their homes to unfair practices by
mortgage bankers. But drug company big shots in jail. Our Congress is in bed
with the drug companies lobbyists that
give them lots of money for their re-election campaigns. Congress even told the
DEA to back off on the subject. McKesson is still in business and this time in
2014 paid a $150 million dollar fine. They are simply just a second time
offender. Drug offenders belong in jail at any level. Simply writing a check is
NOT solving the problem.
The CEO of McKesson is the third
highest paid CEO in the country. The $150 million dollar fine he paid
was just $50 million more than his compensation last year. The company makes
$150million dollars a WEEK in profits. Americans are struggling to even pay for
all the addictive drugs they are prescribed daily. The fine means nothing to
him. Last year McKesson’s revenues were UP by $8billion dollars. Put them all
in Jail. Trump, most of Congress and the CEO. Senator Maggie Hassan from New
Hampshire is the only outspoken person in Congress on this issue. New Hampshire
has the second highest drug overdose rate in the country.
Big tobacco, guns and bullets and
the drug companies are out of control and are not being stopped. They are being
awarded. The CEO of McKesson was just awarded an ADDITIONAL $1.1million dollar
performance bonus and has held his job for 18 years. This country has gone to
pot literally!
