The Death of The News

If Donald Trump will be known for anything it will be how he changed the face of the news. This has been the craziest Presidential climate ever in America. Read Bob Schieffer’s book called Overload where he reflects on his six decades as a respected news reporter. We are now deeply involved in a new communication revolution not seen since the invention of the printing press. Our politics has been effected in the new way we get our news.

Over the past 12 years America has lost   120 newspapers. One out of every five reporters now lives in either Washington, New York or Los Angeles. People in the middle of the country not only get biased news but often doesn’t get the researched news at all. The people in the middle of the country is Trump’s base and he has them wrapped around his finger with whatever he chooses to say and that is vomit that is NOT researched by a professional newspaper reporter. Now most people get their news from places like Facebook that is direct and wonderful but is a business for sharing ideas for profit and not a researched news organization. Facebook revealed and confessed they posted false political advertising simply for profit of advertisement sales. If the advertisement looked believable, most of us accepted what was posted as truth.

Things that Trump tweets are not researched as truth by anyone. It is simply thoughts spewing from the toilet that is his head. He is now the most powerful man in the free world. We are not used to ignoring someone with that power in his hands. In his hands is chocolate cake, women’s pussy’s and his damn tweeting phone. This free flow of information we have now that is not true or researched is dividing our country and is downright confusing. America has never even heard of the term fake news before Trump descended on the landscape of politics. By now we all know that if a story doesn’t benefit him, it must be fake news and that kind of dictatorship control is just where he wants us all. Trump and his press secretaries treat the press like trash.

Our good old   news guys check out all stories. They will not print a story unless there are multiple sources to back up the truth of a story. Do you want a country where the only source of the news is the government? I don’t think so even if you agree wholeheartedly with that government. That would be a totalitarian society and not the democracy we fought   for more than   200 years. The job of the news is to give another carefully selected set of facts compared to the government’s version of events. Then we can decide what to do about the issue at hand. It is what the founders of this country meant for us to do.

Trump obviously doesn’t know the Constitution or anything about our founding fathers. What he is the master of is manipulation for his personal benefit. He cannot agree to disagree. He will bully and insult anyone who dares to disagree with his unsearched decisions not researched by any professional in any field.  Anything this President doesn’t agree with, he calls fake news. This is dangerous times in America.
