Trump's friends get Jobs

It is good to be Trump’s friend because if you are, you will be granted a top job in the administration regardless if you have any qualifications for the job. We were warned about his poor policy choices when even as far back as when he was a candidate and it was becoming clear that he was going to be the frontrunner as the winning choice for President in the Republican party he did some questionable choices for the people in his backyard. At that time Trump was asked to reveal his foreign policy team. The question was circulating for weeks and most thought he didn’t even have a foreign policy team. Finally he produced a few names.

Finally Trump’s list of foreign policy advisors were Walid Phares, Carter Page, George Papadopoulos, Joe Schmitz and Lt. Gen. Keith Kellogg. No one had heard of these five guys before. Why were they chosen by Trump? Carter Page was a small time business guy who had worked for Merrill Lynch in Russia. Carter had also turned up in a Russia investigation by the FBI of a Russian spy ring that was operating at a New York bank. He was named as someone who had provided information to Russian agents. One of these guys said on his resume that he had taught for years at the National Defense University. That was a lie. Another one of these guys sent at least 6 requests for Trump to meet with Russian Officials. Two other advisors said they were currently meeting with Russian leadership including Putin.

Before Trump was running for President he didn’t even know these guys. How did they become his closest foreign policy teammates? Paul Manifort wasn’t Trump’s buddy before the campaign but soon he was running the whole campaign. Why did Trump pick all these guys who had clear ties to Russia? Even Rex Tillerson never even met Trump before the election. Supposedly Rex was a recommendation from Condolesa Rice.  Trump gave a job to his personal bankruptcy lawyer  as Ambassador to Israel. Trump put his top fund raiser in as Treasury Secretary. His son’s wedding planner is now in charge of Federal Housing in New York and New Jersey. He named his Son-In-Law and his Daughter as Senior Presidential Advisors. Trump’s bodyguard is now the Director of Oval Office Operations. Trump gave Newt Gingrich’s wife a job in Rome as the Ambassador to the Vatican. She always loved to travel to Italy. Sigh!

So, with choices like this can of worms, should we be surprised that every week someone resigns or is fired at the White House. The dysfunction and lack of experience by most people running our country is staggering and an embarrassment to anyone and everyone who is qualified for these jobs and truly deserves one of these jobs. So, all you have to be is tied into the Russians or be a close friend or relative and you are hired! Is this what he meant as jobs for Americans?
