Dissasterous Trump

When faced with a natural tragedy on American soil we get to see our President’s true colors. After Hurricane   Katrina President Bush waved out his luxurious jet on his way home from a vacation out the window at flooded New Orleans. Yesterday President Trump landed his jet 200 miles away from Hurricane Harvey in Texas and said thank You to a small group of supporters there. Trump has cut the funding to FEMA so most people will not be able to rebuild. Even those who pain into 20 years of flood insurance will not get enough money to rebuild. After Hurricane Sandy in New Jersey President Obama toured New Jersey and promised immediate aid. He also toured parts of Staten Island and Queens.  Obama then proposed a $60.4 billion dollar spending Bill to the Republican Congress to provide emergency funding to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy in the North East of our Country. The Republican Congress shot the bill down, did not vote for it and killed the aid package.

On the six month anniversary of Sandy, Republican Governor Christie thanked President Obama for delivering everything he promised to New Jersey. Congress finally approved of $51 billion dollars to aid the victims of Hurricane Sandy. Trump sent 19 tweets about the Texas storm that included Pardoning a resist convicted politician, and wanting to shut down the government to pay for his Mexican wall. He was warned about this storm but never gave any specifics about aid to the areas inflicted. Trump had voted against allocating funds to States destroyed by storms. Trump has not sent any specific aid to the area. It was Texas who at least employed 12,000 National Guard soldiers to aid the drowning people. Most other aid has been in the form of donations by the Red Cross and other humanitarian agencies.

All you Trump the Billionaire supporters have to realize that Trump is NOT a generous person to anyone but to himself. Earlier this year he gave an embarrassing self- promoting speech to the Boy Scouts of America that prompted an apology to the Boy Scouts by the organization’s officials. Trump is not known for donating any of his billions to charity.  He is the hero of the ignorant who love his outrageous insults to just about anyone and loves how he gets away with it all. Trump is a very special insult comic.

The Boy Scouts is an American institution where they extol the virtues of citizenship, service and community. Trump’s speech spoke about fake news, how large his crowd was at the Inauguration, how he wants more loyalty, he said that he would fire Secretary Tom Price if he didn’t get votes and simply did not say anything about the importance or virtues of the scouts. It was not the place to promote himself. The officials of the Boy Scouts of America released a statement that said, “The Boy Scouts of America is wholly non-partisan and does not promote any one position, product, political candidate, philosophy   or service.” Records show that in 1989 the Trump Foundation   donated $7.00 to the Boy Scouts at a time when it cost $7.00 to register a scout. All Billionaire Donald Trump ever donated to the Scouts was a $7.00 registration fee to let Donald Junior join the Scouts.

Disney just donated $1 million dollars to Hurricane Harvey relief. Your Billionaire Republican hero Donald Trump won’t even visit the disastrous area from the worst storm reported in American history, probably will not donate any of his own money to the cause and has not made any Congressional requests for funds. He in fact cut down the funds to the agency why helps people in these dire situations, FEMA, to practically no money. He wants a wall and wants you to pay for it along with the mortgage on a destroyed home sinking in polluted water.
