Increasing Difficulties for Muslims in France (Others)

Many years ago there were French people in France and the Muslim people resided in the Middle East. Travel was difficult and journeys to Europe were nearly impossible. Cultures did not clash then. You believed in what you believed in and so did many of your neighbors believed in the same ethics and religions. There wasn’t much to clash about then and it was a more peaceful world religion wise. Now there are approximately 3.5 to 5 million Muslims living in France. Only 2 million Muslims have French citizenship and the new age Muslim is one that has militant beliefs and are not a peaceful people that simply worships their God. They wish to kill anyone who is not a Muslim. Yes, times have changed.

The question that should be asked is if it is increasingly difficult for French people to live in France? They just had the worst terrorism act in France performed by militant Muslims killing the most people on French soil since World War ll. So, yes, now it should be increasingly difficult for Muslims in France.  The French President just declared it an act of war against militant Muslims. It is not a good time or safe time for anyone to be in fun   loving France these days.  Yet the French law wishes to be fair to all who wish to reside in France. The French law forbids distinguishing residents or citizens according to religion.  Muslims are settled throughout   the country, but there are concentrated communities in the Ile-de-France (35%), Provence-Alps Cotes D’Azur (20%), Rhone-Alpes  (15%) and the Nord-Pas-de-Calais (10%).

Another increasing difficulty for Muslims in France is the problem that they do not contribute much to the French economy. They are a liability to the land. French Muslims are more likely to be unemployed than the rest of the population. According to the data from the National Institute for Statistics and Economic Studies, the French Muslims have a hard time finding and keeping long term full time jobs. Taking time out many times a day from work to pray on their prayer rug is not good for a working environment. The unemployment rate of foreigners living in France to Frenchmen is doubled at 14%. Additionally, in comparison to a 5% overall unemployment rate for people of French origin, nearly 27% of university graduates with North African backgrounds are unemployed. So, why should a Muslim even want to live in France?

Muslim families are large since they do not believe in birth control. It is not uncommon for a Muslim family to contain 8 or 9 children while the parents are unemployed causing a drain on the welfare services of the taxpaying citizen who perhaps have only one child. You can see how resentment can occur on both sides. The French traditionally have been known for their kings and queens and opulent life style filled with entertainment, pate, wine, chocolate and pastry indulgent of any kind. Muslims believe in covering their women, little opulence constant prayer discrimination of women and anyone who does not believe in their beliefs or their God.
