Ok despite the fact that thankfully there is nothing equal to men and women, the girls want to be everywhere a man should be like in combat in the military. So now they are everywhere and on the front lines too. Let’s not worship a woman, not hold the door open to them and when we are horny rape them too. Is that what the American soldier is like now? I guess so. The numbers don’t lie and it is disgusting.

A report this week said that up to 26,000 military members were sexually assaulted last year, and sexual assaults in the military jumped by more than one-third since 2010.

So now what do we do since our uniformed boys don’t know how to conduct themselves and do not respect their fellow soldier? It has come time that the government intervenes and does something about it. There is no reason that the people assaulting people are not being prosecuted just like any civilian who dares to sexually assault anyone gets prosecuted.

Top aides to President Obama met with members of Congress recently to discuss legislation to crack down on the growing number of sexual assaults in the military. Valerie Jarrett, senior advisor to the president and Tina Tchen, chief of staff for first lady Michelle Obama, spoke with House and Senate members from both parties. Jarrett and Tchen are members of the president’s Council on Women and Girls.

White House spokesman Jay Carney said the meeting reflects Obama’s concern about the new report that shows a disturbing rise in sexual assaults by service members. “He has zero tolerance for sexual assault in the military,” Carney said. Well I say for starters get the women away from the horny men like they did in World War II. Keep the women off the Navy boats and out of combat.

They discussed a variety of pending proposals in Congress to change the military’s justice system to better deal with sexual assaults. They ranged from rules about the treatment of accusers to eliminating provisions that allow commanders to override verdicts. Treat them as we treat all citizens not according to a ranking system. Rank has nothing to do with rape. It don’t matter who you are it is wrong. We must do more to root out the culture that fosters this behavior and provide substantive assistance to those who face these tragedies alone. Women shouldn’t get raped and in addition to that trauma have to deal with a cover up by a higher ranking official.

President Obama says that he has zero tolerance for sexual assault in the military. Well this meeting was a tiny step forward to at least make the soldiers being assaulted feel like they are at least free to be able to discuss the non consensual attacks of violence being made to their body parts. Senator Amy Klobuchar a Democratic from Minnesota and Senator Lisa Murkowski a Republican from Alaska have a bill that would require the military to retain restricted reports of sexual assault for 50 years; now service members have to request retention of those records. How ironic that it is two powerful women in the Senate taking action on this issue. This is why we also need more women in politics to bring to the spotlight many of the chauvinistic behavior that even exists in government.

When the report came out, Obama called the findings outrageous and demanded that the Pentagon take action. “Bottom line is that I have no tolerance for this,” he said “I have communicated this to the secretary of Defense. “We’re going to communicate this again to folks up and down the chain in areas of authority, and I expect consequences.” Thank goodness we finally have a first Lady like Michelle that is getting involved in serious issues and is speaking out on behalf of these poor women that just want to be like one of the guys but instead are brutally abused by the ranking guys and physically by cowards.
