Take a Break from Vape

When Scott Gottlieb was appointed commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration last May, some were concerned he’d be a shill for the pharmaceutical industry.

A major sticking point at his confirmation was what Sen. Patty Murray (D-WA) called “unprecedented financial entanglements” — including previous posts on five pharmaceutical company boards.

A doctor and former FDA deputy commissioner under George W. Bush, Gottlieb knew medicine and the agency better than Trump’s other potential candidates to FDA — including Silicon Valley insiders with no background in health. But he also came to the job with controversial ideas about how to speed up the already fast drug approvals at the agency.

Already he has been doing a poor job at least in the area of all those E-Cigarettes out there exploding in teens faces. He has NOT ISSUED REGULATIONS but simply gave recommendations to manufactures to "address battery safety issues" Well a suggestion to a profitable business is NOT ENOUGH when it comes to safety to our population to a product that we clearly do not need and is just plain dangerous to anyone who uses the vape cigarettes at any age. 

There are clear risks from exploding vape pens. They explode in your pockets , in your hands and can break your jaw if it explodes in your mouth. People are even dying or getting burns to 80% of their bodies from the legally sold e-cigarettes exploding in their possessions. 

So far  airlines have banned them and San Francisco is considering outlawing the sale of the harmful vape pens. 

The explosions are linked to Lithium Batteries that are overheating in modified vape devices. We need the FDA to ban the sale of the products in America and stop protecting corporate products over citizens safety. Trump and his careless appointments must be removed for America's safety.
