There was a CNN Town Hall event in Manchester, NH where Senator Bernie Saunders a Presidential Candidate said that he believes that a prisoner while in jail should be allowed to vote. Should we all favor that felons should have the right to vote in elections? Despite your personal views on the matter it remains a State by State issue as most issues are. We must remember in the State of Vermont where Bernie represents, people in prison are allowed to vote already.
In about 48 States up until 2014, most people even after they were released from prison were not allowed to vote. In 2017 now at least 15 States allow people to have the right to vote in prison.
