Whose's idea was it to play with time today? We had to set all our time pieces to an hour forward thus losing a precious hour of time in our day. Why? They call it Daylight Saving Time. Yes, every spring we set the clocks forward and every fall we set them back an hour because someone told us all to do that. Should Daylight Saving Time be permanent? Have you had enough of all this time shifting? And don't say savings time because it is not like saving money in a bank account. It is just saving.
People think it was the farmers who decided all this to have more daylight tending to their crops. NOPE! It was actually a war thing.
In World War I the Germans changed their clocks in order to try to save energy from all that constant fighting. So, America had to follow that idea and we made it the law of the land in 1966, not all that long ago. Right now there are thirty states trying to address complaints about our silly law. They are even providing evidence in their argument to stop messing with the clocks by proving that there is a upward trend in car accidents and heart attacks in the weeks after the change. Our bodies do not like change in our routines. In the winter 4:30 in the afternoon can be pitch black but after we play with the clocks we could still have bright sunny days at that time and later in the evening.
Why is it that Arizona and Hawaii don't change their clocks? They stick to Standard Time All Year. Do we all need to have more Standards? lol
To change all this for a United time in America Congress would have to approve a decision. They don't seem to be able to agree on anything lately. So they would probably find reasons to point fingers at each other and argue at congressional hearings on this issue to with no result as they do daily. So there may be some time till you change your clocks for the last time. Or just get you a fancy watch or phone that changes time for you too because today you lost another hour of your life you will never get back.
