Artificial Intelligence

China is leading the world in so  many ways now. America used to be the single innovator in technology when it comes to computers , internet and mobile devices but in the past five years we are seeing China taking the advantage because they are compiling the largest amount of data on everyone and everything. Knowledge is power and knowing as much as they can on everyone can provide them with essential information that can influence and manipulate us all. Data can't think like a human but in the last few years they have developed machines that can think or learn and they call that capability Artificial Intelligence. 

The talent for engineering and strive for wealth are the success stories now. Communist China is manufacturing billionaires. They with their data success have fostered many billion dollar companies. In 2017 China has attracted half of all  Artificial Intelligence in the world. They developed a program called FACE++ that is a visual recognition system. Add cameras to the program and it will track people where they go and what they do by zooming in on your face and recording everything based on your identifying photo. This takes the George Orwell 1984 novel to the next level in observing people. 

Super fast computer chips and all that data can produce statistical results that can tell a clothing manufacturer what is the most popular color shirt people wear or what is the foods most people eat and the companies can push their products accordingly. China has computers that are keeping tract of your smiles or sadness with face recognition in classrooms and in offices that will provide data on what exactly gives us pleasure or sadness. They are finding a way to even monetize our emotions. 

In a classroom data watching each child can tell the teacher by their expressions if they are confused, gifted or bored with a lesson. We are all being profiled whether you think  it is for the better or for the worst. At least we will know more about ourselves than we ever thought we knew.

China is educating their youth even in very remote villages with teachers remotely on videos and not in the classrooms yet they know every child with their individual struggles or successes. Now all of China's youth is becoming a large nation of successful educated people. With this technology the classrooms are smaller and can encourage individual thinking. It is the ideal conditions that all teachers crave. China has four times the amount of people than America has and they are doing nearly everything on line. 

At least a program will not get into our soul. It will never know why we love or hate it will only tell us how often we do these emotions. It will never be able to  know what we say to ourselves only observe us. Thank God we will always have the power over our thoughts that are truly ours.
