Trump's Get Out of Jail Card

Trump has found the Get Out of Jail card in the Monopoly game he calls America. He has found the fun ability to also abuse his Power to Pardon those who has committed crimes and are in jail for their proven criminal acts. He already said he wants to Pardon himself. Does that mean that he admits to being a criminal? Well, right now he likes to sit and sign the paper that lets his celebrity friends ask for anything and the criminal walks. Recently Sylvester Stallone and Kim Kardashian made a visit to the White House and poof, the gates of jail just opened for their requests. Trump has traditionally liked to hang around with the rich and famous so, hey Trump supporters, you got your wish and now the White House is now just another episode of Keeping Up With the Trumps.

It is reported that Trump is “obsessed” with pardons, describing them as the president’s new “favorite thing” to talk about. The fact is that he is putting criminals back on the streets without a vetting process. Before he just used to be disgusting and say, “Don’t you think my daughter is hot?” and then says pardon me. Now he is abusing his power to appeal to the celebrities he craves to be one of. He just gave a pardon to a 63 year old woman, Alice Marie Johnson, after meeting with Kim Kardashian. The woman had a life sentence for running a cocaine drug ring. So his war on drugs is letting drug dealers OUT of jail? Since when is Kim influential in politics? Trump likes to pardon because it is the one area of the presidency where he has unchecked power. He can get out of jail anyone he wants to. Other Presidents have used their pardoning power but they usually do it when they are about to leave office. Can this be a sign that soon Trump will resign?

His actions just show even further that he disrespects our judicial system and could care less what a judge and jury has to say. He is King Trump America’s Dictator and is loving the unchecked power whenever he can get it. He is abusing his power yet again because he did not go through any formal legal process or review in his reason for a pardon. He only used the get out of jail free card because of his meeting with Kim Kardashian. So now Executive Clemency is just another reality show. He has given a slew of pardons in just his first year in office that includes Sheriff Joe Arpaio who was guilty of criminal contempt for ignoring a judge’s order to stop racially  profiling Latinos during patrols and turning them over to federal immigration authorities.

He pardoned Scooter Libby who was convicted and jailed for perjury and obstruction of justice, something Trump himself is probably guilty of. He gave a full pardon to Dinesh D’Souza, the conservative author and filmmaker who pleaded guilty to violating federal campaign finance laws after he was indicted on charges that he illegally used straw donors to contribute to Republican Senate candidate Wendy Long.  Trump like those who are corrupt as he is in elections.  Obstruction of justice, something Trump himself is probably guilty of. Trump pardoned a late boxer with Sylvester Stallone.
