Our Congress needs to learn from
Little League especially since this is Baseball season. They act more civil and
with ethical humanity than our highest elected officials. Now more than ever we
need a collective Congress to do what is right for this country especially
since we are being taken hostage by Trump with his ever changing ideas for this
country that usually ends up in more protesting. People even tried to take the
baseball shooting into a political football. Blaming one party or another for
the violence didn’t change the violent act.
In Little League we teach the
kids that losers don’t whine and winners don’t gloat. You don’t question a call
by the umpire’s heritage. Why do adults forget these early lessons? We need to
try something new in this country with something old before our frustrations
destroy all of us. After every game the little Little Leaguers line up and
shake hands no matter who won the game. We need to make all Congressmen do that
after they pull their all-nighters to try to pass some legislation. Both
parties should line up and shake hands after every State of the Union Address
where all Americans usually can see just how divided this nation of leaders
really are.
They don’t have to change their
positions or views. They don’t even have to compromise but let us all see some
civility in our government! We like to see when our children behave in an
upstanding way. We need to see more of it in our government. Just because
Congress is in the big leagues, doesn’t mean they can’t act like good kids. This
administration isn’t even serving the people. It is the very wealthy billionaires
in top government positions and then there is the people protesting and getting
at each other’s throats over just about anything. While we are cutting each
other’s throats and getting arrest records the billionaires come and go after
lining their pockets with even more money from our countries influence.
As Congress and the American
people battle over issues Trump’s billionaire advisors clean up big profits.
Most recently Trump advisor Carl Icahn who was named “special advisor” on
Regulatory Reform. He is a refinery owner who was betting on himself. He was
betting that the price of oil would drop. So of course once he got the
government job he saw that the price of oil would drop. He made even more money
in the stock market on oil. So the billionaire bets in the stock market that
prices of oil would drop. Then he joins the Trump Administration to insure that
the prices would drop. He advised Trump to make regulations on oil that he was
personally invested in.
This is just out in the open
corruption that other elected officials are simply looking the other way
probably they all have their fingers caught in other lucrative pots of their
own. Should elected officials make the rules in our government that will benefit
their pockets? Hell NO! December 7 Scott
Pruitt was picked to run the Trump’s EPA who agrees with Icahn’s ideas while biofuels
credits were trading at $1.20 cents. December 21 Carl Icahn gets Trump’s
advisor job and shares go down to 80 cents; February 27 the White House
receives the new Icahn Biofuels Plan and the stock is down to 40 cents per
share. Every time those prices dropped, Icahn made more personal money as he
set the policies for that to happen. Don’t we all wish we can make our own
rules to benefit out pocketbooks?
Icahn raises ethics flags with
his dual roles as an investor and Trump advisor. So the stock of Icahn’s
refinery company CVR Energy has soared. By this past late December the shares
of the company doubled generating a windfall, at least on paper, of $455
million dollars for HIM. So the next time Trump boasts that the stock market is
up it is probably because of insider deals like this for his buddies. Congress
needs to shake hands Republicans and Democrats to get after these thieving
bastards that do NOT include the American people in their high profiting deals
while we are all literally beating each other up out of frustration over stupid
statues that a century of people have looked at.
Last week Carl Resigned as Trump’s
Special Advisor. Yes, he cashed in his chips and left the poker table with his
loot. Where is the criminal charges for this thief? There are laws that say
that “it is illegal for Executive Branch
Employees to work on any matter
which they might have a direct financial interest.” The Public Integrity Department of the Justice Department should be
investigating this! Carl Icahn should have NOT accepted the special advisor
position that involves his company and his profits. Ok, now I need to go into
the streets and protest this and try to strangle some Trump supporters but I
won’t because I saw a Little League game today and I must behave like those
kids. SIGHHHHHHHHHHH!
