Is it too late for a new candidate to emerge? NO. The rules say that the cutoff for candidates is as late as November 20, 2019. History tells us that it was Ronald Reagan who had the shortest amount of time to run for President and as we all know, he won the race. He entered the race with less than 400 days before the election. President Reagan didn't announce till mid November 1979 and he gave himself only 357 days before winning. There is still time and time will tell.
