Our Communist President

Trump says nothing and does nothing about our allies fighting for Democracy in Hong Kong. Millions of the citizens there are protesting and fighting for their democratic freedoms. After 150 years as a British Colony the city returned to Chinese control in 1997. China promised Hong Kong partial autonomy for 150 years. They were promised and had an independent legal system and freedom of speech. Now, China is chipping away at those limited freedoms. The people want their right to elect their own leaders and not to send arrested people to China for prosecution. Why isn't Trump supporting democracies and freedoms worldwide as all Presidents have done in our American past leadership? 

It has been 70 years since the Communists took power in China and their might is becoming ever stronger year after year. Hong Kong is just 1,200 miles from mainland China with a city of 7 million people and they want freedom. They use open umbrellas when protesting to protect themselves from pepper spray. They share the same values as Americans but our leader ignores them. Why?

These folks are risking 10 years in jail for protesting. The violence is escalating with police shots fired and beatings of protestors who were peaceful. 2,000 have already been arrested. In recent weeks China has doubled its military might in Hong Kong. The protestors are young, middle class and highly educated and have no known leadership. Yet they are organised and united. Now China is attacking the protestors in corporate ways. Apple took  down an app that could help protestors communicate. Google dropped a game about the Hong Kong protests and now China is banning the NBA after an executive tweeted support for the demonstrators. Freedoms are at risk world wide and our Communist American President could care less. Even now he has abandoned the Kurds and is allowing Turkey to slaughter them.

Our older generation is failing our youth even here in America. Our kids are left to protest gun violence, pollution, climate change and all sorts of careless neglect by the older generation. Kids can not enjoy their youth any longer. God Bless the Children who know better than the adults in the room.
