Paul McCartney is married again. Well, good for him I suppose. He didn’t have to make such a commitment again especially since his other two marriages were so tragic. Besides, do the rich and famous and talented really get married anymore? There are many “role model” couples that have been together for years and have children that never bothered to get married. People like Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell and Brad Pitt and Angelina Joilee, these folks manage to have successful careers in entertainment don’t have affairs and don’t get married.
This past weekend Paul got married for the third time. This time to a wealthy businesswoman from New Jersey. Her name is Nancy Shevell and she is 19 years younger than he is. I guess he survived the nightmare from his second wife Heather Mills. Remember, she is the one legged woman who danced on Dancing With The Stars and who left him with his $48 million dollars in her pockets awarded to her by the courts in the divorce. It is on record as one of the most expensive divorces ever. There was a lot of public fighting and his children from his first marriage did not like Heather.
This marriage is the second for Nancy Shevell. Paul must be a helpless romantic at least judging from his work writing very successful love songs that have been revered through time. He obviously didn’t learn any lessons from his disastrous marriage from Heather because he again did not have a pre-nuptial agreement with Nancy. Yes, this couple is different in that Heather walked into her marriage penniless as well as legless, Nancy has multi millions of her own money.
Yes, they are both wealthy and they in their current bliss will attest that their love will survive ( even thought their past marriages did not survive) and that they do not have any need for a pre-nuptial agreement. I still think you need a agreement for various reasons despite each person having plenty of their own money. No lawyer will let any couple with substantial assets get married with out an agreement any more.
The marriage ceremony took place in the same place of worship that he married his first wife Linda Eastman back in 1969. Yes, many of you weren’t born yet at the time of his marriage to Linda. He is now in his late sixties. Obviously, this was no coincidence. Could he still be seeking approval from his first love Linda who didn’t divorce him and had a loving relationship with but who died? And, Why did Nancy agree to that place for her day when they could tie the knot anywhere in the world? Already, things are very strange.
Sir Paul McCartney & American Shipping Heiress Nancy Shevell married this past Sunday. John Lennon would have been 71 years old if he wasn’t tragically shot down years ago; Sunday was John’s birthday. Why did they choose to tie the knot on John’s Birthday? More weirdness. Obviously, this marriage is all about Paul and the weird associations he wishes to make with the people who have died from his past.
Nancy is reportedly worth $400 million and is related to the TV newscaster Barbara Walters. Her wedding gown was designed by Paul’s daughter from his first marriage and we all wish them well and a long successful marriage. After all, in Paul’s words from his song, “Money can’t buy you love.”
